Monarch’s Way ride

Planned routes for the 100 mile Monarch’s Way ride in aid of Findon St John the Baptist school PTA with donations going towards new playground markings in particular.

Total ride length will be around 160miles and 13,000 ft to be climbed primarily because much of the actual route taken by Charles II was on what are now footpaths so we will have to use bridle paths and roads approximating to his route.

Day 1 – Wincanton to Salisbury which will be about 40miles and require climbing a total of around 2,800ft..

Day 2 – Salisbury to Winchester – 30 miles & 2,100ft

Day 3 Winchester to Rowlands Castle – 34 miles & 2,600ft

Day 4 Rowlands Castle to Findon – 37 miles & 3,700ft

Day 5 – Findon to Shoreham via Brighton – 23 miles & 2,100ft
