7th August Saturday morning ride.
?

15th Aug Saturday morning ride.
saw DS, GD, CB, JR & RT venture to Steyning via Chanctonbury, descending via the path to its west before heading east to cross Llama Lane and proceed into Steyning via Mouse Lane. Brek at Truffles (our usual table). Home via The Bostal and Cissbury via No Mans Land.

22nd August Saturday morning ride.
KBS, GD and JR repeated the route of the 15th to Chanctonbury and its path descending westwards but instead of turning east we continued west then, at the suggestion of KBS, joined a less than distinct footpath to Washington. Over the footbridge of the A24 and west to ascend to the SDW and the barn. South to Tolmare via JR’s Collar Bone memorial; remembering that it was 14 years to the day when this brave member fell in service to the FGCC.
The ride finished with a fine brek chez M le Bas.

GD comment: “.. what a feast was bestowed upon us! I called the smell of bacon as we passed the final gate to Tolmar on the downs, Danish I must add, the final course Danish pastry was worthy of the highest praise. Forever grateful to Kirsten, Kim and our little helper. Oh, the ride was excellent as well”.
