Saturday 6th July Trek ‘n brek at the Tank.
CB, TK, AM, PT, RT, AC
Project manager CB
Gathered with provisions for the brek at Pond Green, PT having kindly agreed to drive LSV to Kithurst Car park, and the peleton set off.
Bubbly at Kithurst with a toast to the FGCC and absent friends.
Loaded up PT’s trailer and back up the SDW and to the tank. A number having expressed concern that GD was not with us and that we would have to clear the long grass around the tank, we were greatly surprised to find that Mr Derrick had magnificently cleared all around and had also created a special pissoir location.
CB and veggiie TK attended to cooking of bacons and sausages, whilst RT carried out some maintenance of the FGCC colours and PT,AM & AC prepared scrambled egg, beans, tomatoes, teas and coffees.
Another splendid feast in a glorious location. So full that all we could do was cycle straight back to Findon.

Saturday 27th July – Trek ‘n brek ride to AC
RT, CB, AC
AC kindly drove to the village to discuss arrangements.
CB/RT cycled up to the tank, checking in on Puckamuck to see if Mr Derrick was in office but he was out again. Having arrived at the tank it was decided that we should go straight down to Clapham via Lee Farm. Through Clapham and a right turn up via the footpath to the A27, a short section parallel to the A27, down Forest Lane and a path across to New Road and Salvington road to find our way to AC’s.
AC prepared and served up a superb brek topped with a huge piece of special black pudding, later causing RT a problem as he was too full to eat at a subsequent lunch party given by Mrs T’s Deputy Headteacher (“Richard, come on now, you have to eat”). After the brek we were taken on a tour of the high-tech atelier rustique and were shown the 3d printer that is under construction, the Raspberry Pi and the Bitcoin earner – all completely over my head!
A slow crawl home via the gallops in Findon Valley.
